Literature Text

It's time like these we shake our head,

And with a sob a tear is shed,

The tear slides down our cheek and face,

All alone, at home. The place

where dreams and memories have passed,

day after month and year at last,

Here we sit, and ask the air,

Was it worth it? Should we care?

The answer's yes, and that's the truth.

For happy feelings seep from ruth,

The light can push the dark away,

And with it comes a brand new day.

A day where we can be unique,

Live our lives, week after week.

The worst is here, the best will come,

And with the best, a kind of numb,

'Cause if this is bad, then nothing's worse,

Until the day we greet the hearse.

The river of life traversed at last,

Our lives complete, our bodies passed.

So ride the river, and keep on rowing

Because if you're going through hell, then just keep going.
